Gesture Drawing Class, Week 3 - Silhouettes

This weeks lesson was Silhouettes! I still had to start with the line of action and while keeping shape in mind, build a silhouette while keeping the IDEA of the pose clear. That was something that stuck with me from the lecture and that I think is a really important point: What is the idea of the pose and what is the best way to represent that idea? I found that I started with a silhouette that was fairly close to the model, but only pushed a little. So I pushed some poses even further and in some cases even changed the angle of the pose. Lots of fun and challenging!

these are great! you've got a good idea, pushing a single pose into multiple different directions.. i'll steal that for our next session :)
